Baltikums Banka offers to its customer’s payment cards of the international payment system MasterCard International.

For individuals:

MasterCard Gold;
MasterCard Classic;
Maestro.

For legal entities:

MasterCard Gold;
MasterCard Business;
Maestro.

Features of Payment Cards

Safety of the custody of funds: money is kept at the Bank and at the same time a customer has access to his/her money 24 hours a day from any place in the world:

Customers may pay off the balance on their cards either after the card expires, or on a monthly basis;
Using payment cards of Baltikums Banka you may pay in any currency;
You can forget about all inconveniences related to bringing cash during your travel, the necessity to declare it and exchange;
A possibility to buy travel insurance policies on beneficial terms.

Security

Baltikums Banka issues new technology payments cards – cards with a chip – that guarantee to users additional security and convenience while paying for purchases and services or withdrawing cash:

Safe payments – information stored on the chip is protected from unsanctioned access;
Cards are more durable – their life cycle is longer than that of a magnetic stripe card;
All cards are hybrid cards – they contain both a magnetic stripe and a chip, which allows to use the card in places where a new system of processing chip cards has been introduced, and in places that do not accept chip cards:
- Transactions may be validated in two ways: either by entering PIN-code or as it was done before – by signature of the card user.

Card Currencies

The Bank issues cards in the following currencies:

LVL;
EUR;
USD.

Collateral

Baltikums Banka accepts the following types of collateral to secure a credit card:

Deposits;
Certificates of investments with investment funds Baltikums;
Trust portfolios (customers of Private Banking);
Security portfolios (customers of Private Banking).

Credit Limits

For the credit cards MasterCard Gold, MasterCard Business, MasterCard Classic, you can choose one of the following schemes of credit limits:

Standard credit limit;
Interest-free credit limit up to 45 days.

Travel Insurance Policy

Baltikums Banka offers to its customers, users of payment cards MasterCard Classic, MasterCard Business and MasterCard Gold, an opportunity to buy a travel insurance policy of the insurance company Baltikums (which is a member of the Baltikums Bankas Grupa).

Travel insurance is a type of an insurance policy that is especially convenient for people who spend much time abroad.

The territory of application of the policy is the entire world (the policy cannot be used in the country of permanent residence and in Latvia).

Insurance period is one year (the total number of travel days a year – 180), the maximum length of one trip is not more than 28 days.
