Please observe the following rules while working with Internet Bank:

  • Do not disclose your Internet Bank login and password;
  • Do not write down your chosen identification password for the electronic signature calculator Digipass and do not keep it together with the device;
  • Do not choose an access password associated to your name, surname, or other personal data or with name, surname, or other personal data of your relatives;
  • We advise changing the password every two months and to compile your passwords (combine both digits and letters (small and capital));
  • Change your password if you have suspicions that third parties could become aware of your password;
  • Do not send Internet Bank identification details via e-mail. Do not reply to e-mails requesting your identification data (user code, password, access code, PIN code, passport details) or other private information, which seem to be sent by the Bank. The Bank would NEVER request such information by mail, e-mail, or phone.
  • When opening the Internet Bank website, prior to start working with it make sure that the website address in the address bar of your browser is stated corrected:

Attention: the address should begin with “https://”!

Thelock symbol should appear in the right bottom corner of the browser. This symbol confirms that the multilevel security system is on with the secure data transfer protocol (Secure Socket Layer). Pressing the lock image you may review the Internet Bank certificate and make sure that the website you are viewing really is the Internet Bank of Baltikums Bank;

  • Having finished work with the Internet Bank always press the button ‘Exit’ in the right top corner of the page to exit Internet Bank;
  • Make sure that a licensed operating system is installed on your computer;
  • Make sure that a licensed and updated antivirus programme and firewall are installed on your computer;
  • We do not recommend working with Internet Bank from suspicious computers (for example, a computer no antivirus programme and firewall installed) or public computers (for example, in Internet cafes);
  • Do not perform any transactions with suspicious persons. Make sure that their personal data are not suspicious and are correct;
  • Control your account status and balance;
  • Review your transaction journal to make sure that there are not transactions you are not aware of.
