Baltikums Banka offers its customers payment cards issued by the international payment system MasterCard International.

No more troubles related to taking along, declaring, and exchanging cash;
A possibility to buy insurance policies on beneficial terms.
Baltikums Banka issues modern payment cards with chips, which provide for enhanced security and convenience in settlements and cash withdrawals:
Safe settlements – the information encrypted in the chip is protected from unauthorised access;
Higher durability, with a life cycle longer than that of magnet cards;
All cards are of the hybrid type – they possess both the magnet strip and the chip – this allows using cards at places where the chip card acceptance system already operates and at places where it is still impossible to use chip cards for settlements:
The Bank issues payment cards in EUR, USD, and LVL.
Payment cards for individuals: MasterCard Gold, MasterCard Classic, and Maestro.
Payment cards for legal entities: MasterCard Gold, MasterCard Business, and Maestro.

The Application for Opening and Maintenance of Payment Card;
The entire package of the prepared documents for both the Current account and the Payment card account should be passed to the Bank;
The Payment card account can be credit at any time and for any amount.
The Bank offers the following opportunities for crediting the Payment card account:
Regular Non-Cash Money Transfers product that ensures automating crediting of the Payment card account from the customer’s Current account according to preset parameters;
Automatic Account Balance Maintenance product that ensures automatic maintenance of the balance on the Payment card account from the customer’s Current account according to preset parameters.
Payment for goods/services and cash withdrawal
There are no limits when paying for goods and services:
To facilitate protection when paying significant amounts for goods and services identity documents might be required sometimes;
A shopping limit may be set;
To facilitate protection when withdrawing cash from ATMs a limit for cash withdrawals from ATMs is set;
The limit depends on the payment card type:
The standard limit for ATM cash withdrawals from the Payment card account for the Maestro payment card is set at 1000 LVL, 1500 EUR, or 2000 USD per day;
The standard limit for ATM cash withdrawals from payment card accounts for the MasterCard cards is set at:
For the cards MasterCard Classic and MasterCard Business1500 LVL, 2000 EUR, or 2500 USD, MasterCard Gold - 2000 LVL, 2800 EUR, or 3500 USD per day.
The maximum monthly amount of cash that can be obtained from ATMs is set at 10,000 LVL, 15,000 EUR, or 20,000 USD:
Safety of card:
Avoid damaging the magnet strip and chip of the payment card (protect from high temperatures, electromagnetic rays, and mechanical damages;
Do not reply to e-mail messages requesting confidential information regarding payment cards;
Review the transaction list stated in Payment card account statements on a regular basis and immediately inform the bank of suspicious transactions the customer had not performed;
Documents proving transactions should be stored at least until the Payment card account statement reflecting the transaction is received;
If the amount of a transaction the customer did not perform is debited from the Payment card account, the customer may challenge the transaction by submitting a written claim to the Bank
Only the card user stated in the agreement may use the card;
If the card is lost or stolen or if suspicions occur that it might be used for fraudulent purposes or that the PIN code was disclosed to a third party, the customer should immediately block the card and report it to the Bank;
The card can be blocked:
By sending an e-mail via the Internet Bank;
Calling the Baltikums Banka Customer Information Landline: +371 67 031 324;
Calling the 24/7 support service line of the SIA “First Data Latvia” service centre: +371 67 092 555;
To block a card please state either:
The full number of the card;
The title of the customer’s bank stating the customer’s name, surname, or birth date, the card type, password;
After an oral notification, the customer should promptly as possible submit a written application to Baltikums Banka about a lost or stolen card:

Baltikums Banka accepts the following collateral for the credit cards:
Deposits;
Investment certificates of Baltikums Investment Fund;
Trust portfolios (Private Banking customers);
Securities portfolios (Private Banking customers).
Travel insurance policy:
Baltikums Banka offers its customers – users of the payment cards MasterCard Classic, MasterCard Business, MasterCard Gold – and opportunity to purchase travel insurance policies of AAS “Baltikums” (a member of Baltikums Bankas Grupa).
Travel insurance – this is a type of insurance that would fit people who spend a large share of their time abroad.
The territory of application of the policy: the entire world (it is invalid in the country of permanent residence and in Latvia).
Insurance period: 1 year (180 days – the total number of days per year), the maximum term per travel may not exceed 28 days.
The service is rendered at the Central office of AS “Akciju komercbanka “Baltikums”” in Riga (Latvia).
