Within private banking programme Baltikums Banka offers an opportunity to deposit funds on special terms – increased deposit interest rates for longer period and larger amounts.

Baltikums Banka accepts customer deposits in LVL, USD, and EUR.

Deposit types:

Standard deposit with interest payment once per six months;
One-day deposit (Overnight) – depositing of funds at a special interest rate for just one day;
Deposits with individual parameters.

Standard deposit:

It is a deposit for a certain term with payment of guaranteed fixed interest.

Individual deposit:

Fit for amounts exceeding 100,000 LVL, 200,000 EUR, or 200,000 USD;
The term and interest rate for such deposits are determined individually;
The Bank is happy to consider most complicated and non-standard parameters of deposits starting with the interest payment period up to structured deposits bound to certain financial instruments.

Advantages of deposits:

Beneficial allocation of funds for a term from 1 month to 5 years in EUR, USD, or LVL;
Guaranteed higher deposit interest that is credited to the customer’s Current account;
Use of the accrued interest in just 6 months (for deposits for a term of 6 months and above, for those of a shorter term – at the end of the deposit term);
No need to visit the Bank – the deposit application may be submitted via the Internet Bank in free form;
Opportunity to use the funds allocated to the deposit by obtaining a loan guaranteed by the deposit;
MasterCard credit card without the annual fee:
- For individuals – MasterCard Classic or MasterCard Gold(at the customer’s choice) when placing a deposit for at least 1 year and with the amount of at least 10,000 LVL, 20,000 EUR, or 20,000 USD;
- For legal entities – MasterCard Business, when placing a deposit for at least 1 year and with the amount of at least 10,000 LVL, 20,000 EUR, or 20,000 USD.

Terms and conditions of deposits

If you hold a Current account with Baltikums Banka, please complete:

The Term Deposit Application and send it to the Bank;
The Term Deposit Application may be signed in hand or using the electronic signature calculator Digipass.

If you plan to become a customer of our Bank, please complete:

All documents required to open a Current account;
The Term Deposit Application;
The entire package of prepared documents for both the Current account and the Term deposit should be submitted to the bank.

If the customer warns the bank at least 10 business days in advance of early termination of the deposit agreement, the Bank shall deduct the interest paid before.

If the customer warns the bank less 10 business days in advance of early termination of the deposit agreement, the Bank shall deduct the interest paid before and a penalty of 1% of the principal amount of the deposit.
