Baltikums Banka offers depository service to individuals, holding companies and trusts, investment companies, and pension funds engaged in asset management.

Baltikums Banka offers financial services related to storing and accounting financial instruments of foreign and Latvian issuers, as well as settlements for financial instruments transactions:

• Services related to accounting customers’ ownership rights for financial instruments:
  • A unified Financial instruments account is opened to a customer for storing financial instruments and performing transactions with them;
  • Regardless of their type/kind, currency, and country of issuer, all financial instruments are stored on the same account, which allows reviewing the entire investment portfolio;
  • Accounting of financial instruments is performed as entries in electronic registers instead of material carriers;
  • Transfer of financial instruments to the Bank for custody does not imply transfer of the ownership rights to the financial instruments in questions;
  • Reliability and security of financial instruments custody is ensured by active international standards and legal acts. Therefore, the financial instruments stored at the Bank are not the Bank’s property and they cannot be subject to recovery claims referring to the Bank’s obligations;
  • The Bank ensures safety of financial instruments or rights thereto and acts solely in the customers’ interests. The Bank may not operate, manage, or make any transactions with the funds without the customers’ order;

• Settlements for transactions with financial instruments:
  • Buying/selling financial instruments on the stock exchange and OTC markets;
  • Baltikums Banka offers a wide range of financial instruments on all major global stock markets: bonds, stock, funds, hedge funds, derivatives, structured products;
  • Brokerage services are rendered together with complementary products – repo, fiduciary services, prime brokerage, and other products;
  • Financial instrument transfers upon customer orders from the customer’s account to other accounts – within the Bank and to other banks;
• An opportunity to use repo products – receiving financing against financial instruments collateral:
  • Baltikums Banka offers a wide scope of repo products on bonds, stock, fund certificates, and other financial instruments;
  • The Bank offers a flexible package of services for performing repo transactions (financing amount, haircut, financing interest rate, etc.) that is tailor-made for each financial instrument and for each customer;

• Dividend payment services, as well as payment of other income derived from financial instruments – accrual and payment of dividend, coupon payment, income tax payment, etc.
• Prompt reports on all positions with financial instruments on the customer’s account, as well as investment portfolio statements issued both on a regular basis and upon individual requests.
